      Hello,
New to this site and I think this is a positive step for me. I feel so isolated & misunderstood most of the time. I have chronic pain and hypothyroidism as a complication of back surgery in 2015. It has been a long road. Monday, I went for my 4th ketamine infusion for depression and yesterday had a Meyer’s cocktail infusion to help me with energy and any support for this poor body. I give it hell. I would like to establish friendships with other’s that understand the struggle! Just to chat about life, struggles, relationships, work, victories and the defeats we all endure.

So, hello:) Drop me a line.

      Hi MelB,

Welcome to The Pain Community (TPC). We understand as with all chronic illness, people with pain often feel isolated and alone. They can feel separated from their families, friends, communities, and all too often, from life itself.

Here at TPC we understand that people with pain need a safe, judgment free place where they can share and meet others who truly understand a journey with pain and chronic illness.

We have a couple different ways to help you meet and make new friends. Starting with these discussion forums. We also have live hosted chats on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:00 AM ET in the chat room here on the website.

Another way to meet and talk to others is on our Outreach Support Conference Calls every week. The calls are open discussion calls so everyone on the call can be a part of the conversation. You can share as much or as little as you wish and there is never any pressure. We invite people who may be a little on the shy side or just really want to hear what the calls are like before joining the conversation the opportunity to come on the calls and just listen if they wish.

Our calls are always on Tuesday’s, our next call will be on Tuesday, June 26th at 7pm ET, 6pm CT, 5pm MT and 4pm PT.
Here is a link where you can read more about the calls and also see the schedule. https://paincommunity.org/tpc-outreach-support-conference-calls/

If you would like more information about any of these please let us know here or you can email us at, outreach@paincommunity.org.

      Take care,

      Hello MelB,

It is nice to meet you. I wish it was under different circumstances. I think it is great that you have taken this positive step for yourself. I took this same step many years ago and I have never regretted it. I have met some wonderful people over the years and have made many life long friends and I love to make new friends.

I see that TPC YaYa has told you about the different ways you can interact with others. I hope you will find all three ways of communicating as helpful as I have found them to be.

      Have a great day,

      Noki4

Hi, This is my first time here, Im here bc Im losing it over all the new laws. My pain is bc of idiopathic peripheral neuropathy, in both legs and arms, carpal tunnel in wrists. Some other issues also, it scares me to think I won’t be able to get pain meds?! My specialist has never said anything but it makes me crazy to see all of this when no one is taking in to account all of us who suffer everyday from pain! I’ve never been addicted to anything! But Pain is a terrible thing to live with. It just scares me. Is anyone else?

      Hi Natalie Hudgins,

Welcome to The Pain Community (TPC). We wish we were meeting under different circumstances. It is beyond scary and frustrating not knowing from one doctor appointment to another if we will be able to receive the needed treatments that work to ease our pain and give us some quality of life.

We are happy that you have found us so that you can find and have support and know that you are not alone on this journey.

We want to share with you some different ways you can interact with others who live with pain here at The Pain Community (TPC). These discussion forums are one way, we have live hosted chats, Monday – Wednesday – Friday at 11am ET in the chat room here on the website. We also have our Outreach Support Conference Calls every week. The calls are open discussion calls so everyone on the call can be a part of the conversation. You can share as much or as little as you wish and there is never any pressure and if you would just like to listen that is okay also.

Our calls are always on Tuesday’s, our next call will be on Tuesday, July 10th,
at 7pm ET, 6pm CT, 5pm MT and 4pm PT.
