Struggling through the day to day obstacles of being a spouse/supporter of a partner with Anxiety Disorder. Feeling lost and lonely, hoping to find a good ear to confide in.

Could you join us in chat? We meet every M, W, F from 11am-12pm ET. There we can lend a virtual listening ear and may have some useful suggestions. There are some blogs from other caregivers, which may be helpful. See: https://paincommunity.org/angry-sad-frustrated-unspoken-feelings-caregiver/.

      Heartonsleeve,

You have come to right place. There are many of us here who will gladly offer an ear to listen and friendship.
It can be very hard to be the spouse/caregiver to someone living with pain and other disorders. Please do come back and and share with us and I promise who will do our best to be there for you.

      Hello Heartonsleeve,

There are other spouse’s/partners who are caregivers and support a loved one here on the forums and in our live hosted chats. You will find many ears to listen and offer you support. Caregivers need a safe place to open up and talk and you have found that safe place. Here at TPC we understand that being a caregiver and support for a loved one is a hard road to journey.
You spend so much time trying to help your loved one and that leaves little time for taking care of you.
Please know that we are here to offer you support. We understand how important our caregivers are and we want to support you every step of the way.

Petmom1 was so kind to mention our live hosted chats.

The live hosted chats are, Monday – Wednesday – Friday at 11:00am eastern time. You will find the chat room at the top of the page under the “community tab”. The chat room is a safe, secure and judgment free place. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing. There is no pressure to share, you can even stop by and just sit back and read without commenting if you like. Our goal is to offer a place that you feel safe, secure and comfortable.

If you have any questions please let me know.
