Bd my friend it sounds like things are really coming together for you! She is a beautiful lady and will treat you well in the years to come. One of these days when we make a trip to Florida, we will have to find out where you are and pop in for a visit 🙂

Follow up on the story of the homeless veteran we were attempting to help. Saturday Afternoon I lay down to take a nap. Woke up to some movement in the room and without my glasses couldn’t make out a figure going into the master bathroom. Both the vet and my wife have dark curly hair. I lay there watching the bathroom door to see who it was. I heard a crash and got out of bed and went to the bathroom. The vet was lying on the floor with a bottle of my wife’s meds in his hands and he was still attempting to open them. I went off on him DI style and told him to pack his trash and get out of my house. He had stolen most of my wife’s xanax either Saturday or Friday plus we had a jar with 1 dollar bills in the room we were saving to take our gk’s to Disneyworld. I figure that he took at least $50. I am very disillusioned and my wife and I have decided that our charity will only extend to beings that appreciate what you do for them and give love instead of take from us. By this I mean dogs and cats. This has been a big blow to me and my faith in my fellow vets….

I also know how hard it can be to start moving and doing things. Especially after 2 surgeries in less than 2 years. The VA has given me several pedometers over the years and I have not found them to work well or last. My fitness pal has an area where I monitor my water intake and that makes it easy to remind myself to drink enough per day. I really need to check out fitbit and can link that to my fitness pal to monitor that easier. As I have stated, myfitnesspal is free and has both a website and app to help me track.

Myfitnesspal does the same thing petmom. I will check that one out also to compare and see which one works best for me. the one I have been using has helped me go from 252 down to 194. I had even been lower than that and dropped off the program. I started back up when my jeans started getting too tight lol. Now I need to check out a few things because I think I need to drop another pant size

I am all in on doing this. One of the apps that I have used to good effect is myfitnesspal. They have a website and phone app so you can use this on the go also. Nice thing about this is that it is free 🙂 If you decide to join this, my handle is rsforster215. Request me as a friend and or put your handle here and I will add you. Interested in the apps you use also petmom

day 3 & I woke up this morning with screaming pain. They gave me Tylenol with hydrocodone. It didn’t even touch the pain so they gave me an injection a few minutes ago and that is taking the edge off the pain. I hope it will put me out of pain soon. Should be doing more pt later. Still not sure when they will let me out of here.

I have been on my feet using a walker and a few more physical torture moves. My pain med went empty during lunch and it took a while to get a nurse in here. She is checking on what they will be doing for pain control. Has been over an hour since I have had anything for pain control. Really starting to feel it. My new roommate has checked in to have his right leg amputated. Hope things go well for him.
