That really makes me sad to hear. He really blew his chance to turn his life around. It makes you think that he wanted to get caught–making that attempt while you were home and napping. What an invasion of privacy you must be feeling, knowing that you entrusted him into the safety of your home and he paid you back by rummaging through your home…[Read more]

How is he doing now, Sarg? It makes me sad how our Vets put their lives on the line for us and we thank them by ignoring their needs & struggles when they return. This is a civil society??? Well, at least they are not treated disgracefully as the Vietnam Vets were treated. Sigh as I smh.

I am blessed to have great neighbors. We help each other with projects. This fall they helped me build a raised garden bed for my veggies. I now have an 8×16 space waiting to be painted and filled with new soil & “mushroom dirt” this Spring 2015. To go with it, they made me the coolest garden bench made of old split rail fence posts, re-cycled…[Read more]

Sun is shining today but it is BBBRRRR especially when the wind blows. 25 degrees outside–feels like 15. I know we are not quite half-way thru winter, but I am sure looking forward to spring. I keep thinking about all of you who struggle with pain flares during this time. Warm Hugs.

I find myself playing computer card or board games to relax during a work break or at the end of the work day. Later, I like to play Angry Birds, Diamond Digger, Farm Heroes, Candy Crush and Bubble Witch while settling down by the TV. I tend to game for strategy and independently or with computer generated opponents. I used to play online with…[Read more]

Just spent a long weekend with an old friend who turns out to be a chain smoker. My lungs and clothes had a work out just being around her as she smoked in her home, in the car and elsewhere. She did ask if I minded, so I was trying to be gracious as she invited me to her home. Naturally, I say I was fine with it. I did not expect to be living in…[Read more]

Wow, how frustrating to hear. I found that water yoga was a powerful experience. The water is warm and getting into the poses were much easier when not working against gravity. The relaxation and breathing at the end (using water noodles) was the best part. Placing one under your neck and armpits with the other under your knees allows you to be…[Read more]

Ok, color me frustrated. I gained 2 pounds just from taking the weekend off and spending time with friends whom I have not seen for months. This is just plain WRONG.

Bravo, Dionetta! Take it slow and allow the weight to melt away. It seems frustrating at times, but each day that your clothes loosen just a little more, is proof that you will reach your goal. I hope to drop at least 40 pounds over the next year. I try not to use that as the daily metric though to avoid becoming disillusioned. I am choosing…[Read more]

I wonder if I could sign up a group membership and have my canine crew doggie paddle along side of me. LOL! Great suggestion, Dionetta. I wonder what is working for others. I had good news stepping on the scale this morning–now 12 pounds lighter.
