The Pain Community (TPC) is a nonprofit organization committed to people who live with pain. Whether you have pain, live with or care about someone who has pain, TPC is your home for support, connection and purpose. TPC is a web-based community that provides important information about how to live your fullest while dealing with pain. We support person-centered care that offers a variety of pain care options in an integrated, individualized fashion. We urge everyone who lives with pain to work hard to reach the maximum degree of wellness they are able to achieve. If this speaks to you, then TPC is the organization for you.
When you become a member, you have open access to our online community. There you can access our discussion boards, chat room and blogs. You will be able to find topics of interest to read at your own leisure and learn new tips in coping that have been useful from others living with pain. Most of all you will have the opportunity to interact with others who are like you at your fingertips 24/7. This community is private and a safe haven.
Why is there a membership fee?
Through member support of the online community, we are able to maintain a virtual home that is free of stigma or influence by companies or grant funders. Therefore, this community exists and thrives because of its members.
Do I have a responsibility as a member?
Absolutely. For TPC to remain meaningful for you, we need for you to share your impressions and experiences. This can be easily done by contributing to our online discussions, commenting on our blogs, responding to our newsletter polls or writing to us to tell us what you need to know more about or evaluating our work. The more you participate, the better we become.
