Hi. New to all this but needing help for my hhusband. Looking for new docs in around pgh pa. And surrounding areas like 2-4 hours away even. He has had 10 back surgeries and is in major pain each day. Getting him out of bed is a challenge right now so please anyone who can help please respond.

      Mjshawn17,

We are so sorry to read what you and your husband are going through. We are unable to give you any names for specific healthcare providers however have you tried searching for a new provider using the American Medical Association’s “doctorfinder”?

      Here is the link, https://apps.ama-assn.org/doctorfinder/home.jsp

We do hope that this link will provide you with the leads needed to find a new healthcare provider for your husband.

We also want to share with you two different ways that you and your husband can receive support from The Pain Community and others who are on journey’s with pain.

We have live hosted chats here on this website, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 11:00 AM ET.

We also have support conference calls and the calls are anyone. You do not have to live with pain to join the calls as we understand that caregivers also need support. The phone support calls are always on Tuesdays and we have 4 calls a month. The next call will be on Tuesday, May 23rd at 7:00 PM ET.

Here is a link where you can read more about them. We do hope you and your husband will join us on a call.

If we can help you further please do not hesitate to contact us here on the website or by email at, outreach@paincommunity.org

Our very best to you and your husband,
