I’m a minor, and am not in control of how my condition is being treated. I have had chronic pain in all my muscles for about three years. After being told to stretch when I complained, I have learned to live with it. My pain level is usually a 8 or 9, with ten being the worse. Last month I was diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome, and the doctor is saying it’s probably fibromyalgia. No medicine has ever helped, and I can’t help but get frustrated when my parents say each appointment is a step, when I’ve been trying to have this happen much earlier. They just don’t understand that this is my every day. It feels like they don’t truly care. They’re good parents and I’m lucky they even believe me, but how do I cope with the frustration at all these dead ends and seemingly uninvested parents? Anyone else going through the same thing?
