New here too. I second what you have posted about doctors prescribing meds. If only they experienced a few minutes of our pain they would change their tune.

Have you described all your symptoms to a neurologist? Depending on your insurance you may need a referral. It’s worth a try. Hope this helps.

I just found this site and immediately signed up. Have had three different surgeries for typical trigeminal neuralgia with the last resulting in anethesia delorosa.
I believe my team of doctors are doing what they can but it is such a rare condition. The pain is unbearable. I am almost at the end.
