@noki4 I am looking for advice on dealing with chronic pain..I have been dealing with knee pain for 13 years, 6 surgeries and a total knee replacement 7 months ago, but I have some nerve damage and did a procedure to try to correct that, but no luck. I just feel so depressed and so hopeless. Thinking of going on antidepressants..any advice?
Dee; I am new here, but if you still read; hot to cold to hot to cold is a classic; expand, contract lets the body adjust to where it wants to be. I do not know the structure of you knee, but an orthopod may help, though I doubt it. One way to strengthen the small controlling muscles around the knee is to lay on your back, and carefully go 90degrees with your legs, and carefully move them, so as to excersize those small muscles around your knee, from a kicking motion to side to side ( be very careful). Knees are the weakest joint in the body. An old Chinese man taught me about this. I blew out my knee about age 22; (swelled to the size of a volleyball), and have tried this, and it does work, with a little time. The more you put in, the more you get out, of course. Ultimately, as you age, and if you get arthritis ( a pretty sure bet with your situation), you may want to go to a flower, Somnifera papever. Opioid, the substance Jesus was given on the cross. It is a very serious medication, and should be done minimally, and carefully.
