Oh gosh, nothing new has happened in the last 20 years. I am a mother with 2 grown daughters and one granddaughter. One daughter lives a state away and the other is Lord knows where…doing Lord knows what….with Lord knows whom. Married for 24 years…happily. Always in pain, not always talking about it.

Hello Christine,
I am happy to meet you. I am a mom to 3 grown daughters. Two married and 3 grandchildren. One of my grandchildren lives close by but the other two are about an hour and half away and I do not get to see them very often (long story for another time). I see that TPC YaYa already told you about the chats. I love the chats, it is a great way to start the day. Everyone is so kind and supportive. I too live with constant pain but I try very hard to not let it get me down.
See you around the forums and chat,
Take care,
Noki4
Nice to meet you also π Honestly, I must have posted this one night in an “Ambien” haze cuz I dont remember it. lol I usually dont talk about my pain. I keep it to myself. Who really wants to hear about someones pain all the time? I am sure you know all about that. I have fibro, a sucky doctor ( I call him a legal drug dealer cuz he will give me any medication I want, but I have to keep track of what I am taking and why) and I just go day to day. I am like you though…I feel blessed. I have a nice little life and a good hubby. Its pretty easy to stay positive when you have someone who cares. Wow…feels weird to talk about it. LOL Thanks for replying to me. So…what is your chronic pain disorder? Is that what its called? Anyway, I may try the chat. I normally am not functioning that early, but you never know. God bless and take care π
I am so happy you replied to me. I love making new friends π
I have several different pain disorder’s like most of us, we get one and the ball keeps rolling and adding more to our plate. I started out with a very progressive form of degenerative joint disease in my early 20’s. I am bone on bone in my back and neck as the disc have all deteriorated. I also have rheumatoid arthritis, sjogrens syndrome, neuropathy, sciatica to name a few.
I do understand what you mean in regards to talking about your pain but sometimes we need too — that is what is so great about the TPC fourms and chats. You can feel very at ease talking about the pain or actually just about anything. You do not have to worry about someone rolling their eyes because you mention you are having a bad pain day, I think we all have had that happen at one time or another. It is so wonderful to hear that you have a great hubby who supports you, yes I totally agree it is easier to be positive when we have folks around us that cares.
I am like you in many ways, I don’t talk about my pain too much even with family and friends. It isn’t that they are not supportive, I don’t like to worry them.
That is why I like it here, I can get support on bad pain days and to be honest it feels good to be able to share about my pain with others that truly understand.
I do not function fully until about noon π have to give my legs time to wake up so I stay upright and not on the floor π
I would love for you to join us in chat one day. There is no pressure to talk, you can just sit back and read if you want.
I hope to see you here on the forums and who knows maybe in chat one day.
Take care my new friend,
Noki4
