Does the change of seasons send your pain into a tizzy? Do you dread or look forward to the colder temperatures? Can you help the weather reporter predict the rain or snow? Are you tired of being told that your pain flares have nothing to do with the weather?
Here is the good news. Your body’s warning system is working well. This is NOT in your mind. There is a field of science that studies the effect of weather on our health, called human biometeorology which studies the relationship between atmospheric conditions and people. More and more information is beginning to appear in research and being covered in the media that explains there is a relationship between the weather and your wellbeing.
In the Wellness Section, Weather’ing Your Pain discusses the impact of the weather on migraine headaches, arthritis, fibromyalgia and Vitamin D levels in your body.
