Hey, My father is 40 years old. He is suffering from extreme low vision. He is wearing glasses since from his college days. As time passed, his vision becomes worse, and he found it difficult to manage without glasses. Recently he noticed cloudiness on eyes and he is viewing objects in a blurry or hazy way. It seems like he is developing cataracts in his eyes. We are planning to make an appointment with the eye specialist. Before that, I need someone to help me to know more about cataract. I know that cataract is the clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision, and it usually replaces with an artificial lens. A few of my friends said that there are some risks involved in the cataract surgery, it may cause retinal detachment and all. So, I’m worried about it. Can someone please tell me, Is there any risk in cataract surgery or Is cataract surgery safe or not? Edited in accordance with TPC guidelines Is there anybody over here who has tried cataract surgery before, please share your experience with me. Any help would be highly appreciated.
