I think it is scary for those who are closet to us because they can fully see our health declining.
Also if they are close to us and see us all the time, the change can be dramatic from one day to the next and that can and is shocking for them.
You are right about the look in their eyes and us being able to tell from looking at them if they get it or don’t get it.
