I am also a grandparent living with pain. I was on this journey when my children were small and I don’t remember it being so difficult. I suppose I was younger and had more patience for the constant noise and such. I love my grandchildren more than life itself but there are days that the constant chatter and running around gets to me so badly. I…[Read more]

I have found that with my heat triggered migraines that coming directly out of heat into AC tends to make them go full blown fast.
If I have been in the heat and feel the twinge of the migraine beginning and can do a gradual cool down the migraine doesn’t seem to be as bad. If I am outside and one begins, I try…[Read more]

We are in the process of decluttering and downsizing and I am finding it is so helpful mentally to be able to look at the progress we have made. It is slow and will take time to complete the whole house but it does sure help to look around and enjoy what you have completed so far. It has given me a boost of energy to keep moving forward and…[Read more]

TPC_YaYa replied to the topic Water therapy in the forum Treatment Options for Pain 11 years, 6 months ago
I have also utilized water therapy and what a wonderful therapy it is. I am in the same boat as Noki4, my insurance will only cover a set number of trips. I cannot afford a gym membership so it is frustrating to go for the trips that the insurance covers and then to have to stop.

Having support is so important and sometimes even when you have loving, caring, supportive families it is nice to talk to others who understand exactly what a life with pain is all about. I look forward to sharing and meeting new people here. The most important thing we must always remember, We Are Not Alone!

I am in the process of getting rid of things. I am giving things away, sharing with family who may want the items and donating items. It has gotten so bad that my attic is full of boxes, books, furniture and it is just too much stuff. It is time to downsize so I can have room in the attic to store things that do matter to me, like family keepsakes…[Read more]

I had a wonderful trip and am really grateful all three of my kids are finally past the college stage. I’d love to participate in the chats, but 11am is 8am on the West Coast, and given that I’m a little slow in the mornings, it will be a challenge to be awake and alert, to keep up with East Coasters. 🙂 I’ve been trying to…[Read more]
